Over the past year, growing public interest in prevention has helped propel Neko Health’s expansion to four UK locations—with new Health Centres in Victoria and Birmingham on the horizon.
One year after launching in the UK, Neko Health now operates four Health Centres—three in London and one in Manchester—and has scanned tens of thousands of people.
Today, Neko Health opens its largest site to date in Covent Garden, featuring seven scanning rooms to meet the increasing demand.
The company has further plans to expand to Victoria in London and Birmingham.
London, UK – October 23rd, 2025 – Neko Health, the preventive healthcare technology company co-founded by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek, today marks its first anniversary in the UK with the opening of a new Health Centre in Covent Garden, London.
The location, designed to meet increasing demand, is the company’s biggest yet, with seven dedicated scanning rooms and the capacity to deliver tens of thousands of Body Scans annually. Located at 1 Endell Street, WC2H 9BB, in the heart of Covent Garden, this new location aims to make proactive healthcare more accessible and convenient for Londoners—staying true to the company’s belief that preventive health should be woven into everyday life, where people already live, work, and gather.
Since its debut in London one year ago, Neko Health has expanded rapidly across the country. With three Health Centres now open in London—including Covent Garden, Marylebone, and Spitalfields—and another in Manchester, the company has brought its unique preventive care model to the UK. The company has employed over 350 medical staff in the UK alone, including general practitioners, dermatologists, cardiologists, nurses, and other clinical experts.
“Our ambition has always been to make preventive care accessible to the many and not just the privileged few.” said Hjalmar Nilsonne, CEO and Co-Founder of Neko Health. “When we first launched in London, we entered one of the most competitive markets for private health check-ups. We're thrilled that our unique combination of technology, design and clinical care has resonated with so many people – in London and beyond. The response has exceeded all expectations, and we look forward to delivering care to even more people across the UK.”
Richard Brown, 73, Neko Health member:
“When I was in general practice, I couldn’t afford to wait several weeks for treatment, so I paid for private health insurance. Unfortunately, such insurance becomes unaffordable in one’s seventies. While on holiday, I came across Neko Health in the news and decided to give it a try. The scan picked up what proved to be a malignant melanoma, which was removed quickly with a good prognosis. I genuinely believe the Neko scan saved my life and showed just how important this kind of preventive care can be.”
