Field Service Engineer

Role overview

Mission

Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk. Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear.

In a single, non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and direct clinical care combine to deliver personalised, actionable insights. It's a team that thinks in 10x, not 10%. Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of Neko Health’s clinical scanning technology across US sites. You will support installation, maintenance, servicing, upgrades, and retrofits of instruments while ensuring operational uptime for clinical teams.

Working closely with Engineering, Clinical Operations, and cross-functional teams across the United States and Europe, you will act as a vital link between field performance insights and product development — helping drive continuous improvement in technology, processes, and service delivery.

This role combines hands-on technical expertise with collaboration, problem-solving, and proactive operational support to ensure a seamless clinical experience.

What You’ll Deliver in the First 6–12 Months

  • Successfully install, maintain, and service scanning instruments across US clinical sites, ensuring high reliability and minimal downtime.

  • Build strong collaboration with engineering and operational teams, translating field insights into actionable product and process improvements.

  • Establish consistent documentation, reporting, and compliance standards across installations and service activities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency, instrument performance, and preventative maintenance approaches.

  • Support the scaling of field service capabilities as Neko expands its clinical footprint in the US.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical certification, Associate degree, or equivalent experience in an engineering, biomedical, or technical field.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in field service engineering, technical support, instrumentation, or similar roles.

  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing technical equipment in operational environments.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and geographies.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biomedical engineering, electronics, or a related field.

  • Experience working with clinical, healthcare, diagnostic, or medical device technologies.

  • Exposure to regulated environments or quality/compliance standards.

  • Experience supporting distributed sites or multi-location service environments.

  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement methodologies.
